Description:

Built in 1789, Great Pulteney Street is Bath`s most magnificent Georgian boulevard and provided the setting for a dramatic film production of Vanity Fair, starring Reese Witherspoon, where the glamour and bustle of Regency-era London was re-created.

This sumptuous four bed-roomed apartment on Gt. Pulteney Street captures the glamour and adds luxurious contemporary comforts. There is designated parking for one car and a large planted courtyard overlooking the mature trees of Henrietta Park.

The elegant entrance hall with an upright piano and landscape paintings leads to a dramatic black and gold living room with two grand sofas and a further double sofa bed in front of an original Bath stone fire-place where you can watch your favourite DVD or SKY program on a flat screen plasma TV. The generous cream kitchen with dark slate floors is a natural place to gather with wine and friends and good food. There is a 6 ring gas hob, and electric oven, a dishwasher, microwave and large fridge-freezer. A large dark-wood dining table seats 10.

A sunny and spacious lobby leading to the courtyard functions as an office and boot room and has a concealed utility with a washing machine and dryer. Steps lead down to a pretty, planted courtyard where you can dine alfresco. (Table seats 8) There is a cloak-room located near the main entrance.

There is a serene double bedroom (4`6` double bed) beyond the kitchen with a window overlooking gardens and the leafy park grounds.

Downstairs is an opulent master bedroom overlooking the courtyard, with a superking-size bed (6 ft), flat screen plasma TV mounted on the wall (with Multi Room SKY/Satellite TV), dark wood and antique gold furnishings, a large walk-in wardrobe and a luxurious contemporary en-suite with a deep bath, hand-basin and wc.

There is another handsome king size bedroom (5 ft bed) in shades of red and old gold with a large wardrobe and lots of storage. It has a door connecting to the bathroom.

Finally a smart contemporary single room with plenty of storage and a French door leading onto the courtyard. Another single chair bed is located here.

There is a large tiled bathroom with contemporary shower, hand-basin and wc with dual entrance via the hallway or the king size bedroom.

Bath`s popularity as a filming location is due to its great mix of 18th century architecture with contemporary lifestyle. You can stroll down Great Pulteney Street like the characters on-screen, before viewing the famous Roman Baths and Pump Room, 15th century abbey and stunning Royal Crescent. The unspoilt architecture and uncluttered passageways rich in history are perfect backdrops to transport Bath back in time. To suit the present day, there is a Waitrose supermarket nearby, along with many great shops, restaurants, museums and galleries - everything you need is close at hand in this picturesque World heritage Site.

There is a designated parking space for 1 car behind the property. Alternatively the Bath spa train and bus stations are a 5-10 minute walk away.
