Every grand Georgian terraced home had a busy kitchen in the lower ground floor, and in many flats you can still see the original 18th century bread ovens, cooking ranges and food stores. This large, quiet and beautifully furnished flat is on the lower ground floor of the famous Lansdown Crescent on the Northern slopes of the city, and vestiges of its former life have been incorporated into the smart decor.

Stone steps lead down to a pretty planted courtyard with outdoor table and chairs for two. Inside is a limestone tiled lobby with a corridor that opens out to an office area with leather desk, wifi and chair and a smart black and cream living room with a large Le Corbusier sofa and 3 armchairs.

There is a TV with DVD. Here is an original working fireplace and a large window overlooking the courtyard.

The contemporary white galley kitchen has a dishwasher, electric hob and oven, microwave, combined fridge/freezer and a combined washing machine and dryer. There is dining table to seat 6 and contemporary white leather and chrome seating by Breuer.

The first double bedroom is reached via a lobby with fitted storage on one side and a contemporary shower room opposite. The bedroom has a super king sized bed which can become two singles. The shower room is tiled throughout in polished limestone with a hand basin, shower and wc.

The second bedroom has a luxurious super king sized bed and storage. Here too is a large en-suite tiled in textured limestone with a bath (with shower over), hand basin and wc and lots of fitted storage.

If required, there is a third separate double bed room in the vaults, separated from the other rooms by a long corridor. There is a king sized bed and some storage. A small dressing room with a hanging area leads to a compact en-suite with a bath (with shower handset), hand basin and wc.

This handsome and unusual Georgian crescent above the more widely known Royal Crescent, has broad pavements, wonderful views over the rolling green hills and sheep grazing peacefully on the front slopes.

A permit is provided allowing you to park one car out front or on the neighbouring streets and there are also 4 hour free parking areas within the Crescent for an additional car. Bath Spa railway and the bus station are located approximately 1 mile away and a Taxi is recommended.

It is about a ten minute walk downhill to Bath city centre taking you past spectacular Georgian architecture, including the Royal Crescent, and the Circus. Within 10 minutes is the extensive Royal Victoria Park which has an enormous children`s adventure play area, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, mini golf, and the 18 hole Approach golf course with spectacular views. Also within the 5 minute range is St James`s Square with a newsagent, chemist, Italian delicatessen, coffee shop, organic green grocer and florist. In and around Bath City centre is a great array of restaurants, bars, galleries, shops, museums and historic landmarks. If you want to eat and drink closer to home, there`s the Grappa bar, a trendy wine bar and pizzeria on Lansdown road or the Farmhouse pub. At the top of Marlborough Buildings is the Marlborough Tavern, also a popular gastro Pub.
