Marlborough Buildings is an imposing Georgian terrace beside the Royal Crescent. This one-bedroom apartment is on the first floor which would have originally been reception rooms. All the rooms are particularly light and spacious with high ceilings, original decorative cornicing, and double height sash windows with charming views. The living room is semi open plan and has a large sofa (which is a sofabed) and two leather armchairs beside a decorative open fireplace. There is a TV, DVD and a good selection of books and films. There is a dining table to seat 4 in front of windows that overlook lush planted gardens, a pretty patchwork of tended allotments and a row of mature copper beech trees leading to the Royal Victoria Park. In fine weather, you can also watch hot air balloons take flight.

There is a white period style fitted kitchen to one side that remains open to the light and views. It has an electric hob and oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a fridge and separate freezer and lots of pretty botanical Port Merion china and a selection of cookbooks.

The glamorous bedroom at the front of the property has the original grand marble decorative fireplace and a beautiful French Superking bed. Tall sash windows with iron balconet overlook the idiosyncratic mix of designs that make up the back of the Royal Crescent. There is a chest of drawers with a further wall of fitted storage (including a wardrobe,) built in to the lobby area.

There is a spacious contemporary bathroom, completely tiled in a warm caramel colour and with plenty of useful storage for bath time bliss. There is a large corner bath (with shower over), a hand basin, a bidet and WC.

Here, you are literally surrounded by historic architecture, fine museums and galleries. It is a short and very beautiful stroll through the park to the city centre where you`ll discover a great selection of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants.

There is plenty of entertainment at The Theatre Royal, The Komedia, The Little Cinema or if you are feeling energetic, there are indoor tennis courts, crazy golf and balloon flights in Royal Victoria Park and you can even play a compact 18 hole course whilst enjoying marvellous views of Bath and the surrounding countryside at the Approach Golf Course close by. Top it off with a soak at the Thermae Spa. At the top of Marlborough Buildings is Marlborough Tavern, a gastro pub and around the corner at St. James Square there are good local amenities; a newsagents, chemists, coffee shop, Italian deli, organic grocery store and florist.

A few minutes walk past the Royal Crescent is Margaret`s buildings where there are restaurants, galleries and gorgeous boutiques. The nearest supermarket is The Co-op in Julian Road or Waitrose in the city centre.

The property comes with a permit allowing you to park 1 car on the street out front and on neighbouring streets within the zone. For alternative cars Charlotte st car park is only a minutes walk away. Alternatively the Bath Spa train and bus stations are about a 15 minute walk away.
