Welcome to Friary Wood - a splendid house in the country offering Guest Accommodation just 6 miles from the centre of Bath. We offer 7 letting rooms with either en- suite or own private bathroom spread across the upper two floors of the house – and each has been designed to make your stay luxurious, relaxing and enjoyable. Friary wood also offers "Exclusivity" where guests can have the use of all rooms, dining room and Guest Lounge - please call us for details.

As soon as you drive through the gates and up to the house, you will feel as though you’ve escaped to a different world; our house is set in nearly 20 acres of land - the views are just stunning and as far as the eye can see. We have a combination of formal gardens (including an original walled garden), woodland with gorgeous walks down to Iford and Bradford on Avon, a tennis court and outdoor heated swimming pool.  And the terrace overlooking the paddocks is an ideal place to sit and enjoy a leisurely breakfast.

We are very happy to welcome families to Friary Wood – our rooms have very much been designed with families in mind with our largest room able to sleep up to 6. In addition, many of the rooms have interconnecting doors or can be combined to make comfortable family suites. Friary Wood is situated just outside the village of HINTON CHARTERHOUSE in North Somerset in an area of outstanding natural beauty. At a height of 150 metres above sea level it is the highest village in the area. Friary Wood guest house is also just a few minutes drive from Bath.

In the village of Hinton Charterhouse we’re lucky to have two Inns , a village shop and post office, a twelfth century church, and cricket pitch !
