This interesting and informative day will be split into two sessions. Louis will be covering the theory of bees in the morning, looking at everything from their physiology and the general wonders of the bee through to bee-friendly planting. The afternoon will be spent looking at the hive and the many practicalities of beekeeping. This day promises to be indispensible for anyone considering keeping bees. There is also the option of visiting the teaching hives at Newton Park on Sunday 15th May.

Louis has kept bees for over twenty years and is President of the Bath Beekeepers Association and is committed to actively promoting beekeeping in the local area. Louis has exhibited at the Bath Spring Flower Show for over ten years on behalf of the Association and mentors new beekeepers. He is working towards broadening the membership of the association by giving talks in and around the Bath area.
